The story is not super long given the space constraints, but for the first time, I've decided to do an actual caption instead of just writing the story into the blogger page itself. I'm not sure if I'll keep doing this (it's a bit more time consuming), but if people like it enough, then maybe I'll keep writing more captions in this format.

Day 1 Thank god I found this empty journal amongst the wreckage. My name is Andrew Scott and I am a 42 year-old geologist who was on my way to a research station in the South Pole when all of a sudden, the plane where I was suffered a catastrophic failure and crashed. Now, what you might have expected was for me to find myself in the vast, cold emptiness of the South Pole, but to my shock, when I crawled my way out from the plane's wreckage, I found myself right in the middle of what seemed to be a warm, humid, and dense jungle spreading out in all directions!
